How does the European run compare with North America?
Charli’s North American leg was scheduled to begin in Philadelphia on September 11, 2026, the same day the European dates were announced. It runs through October 23 and includes two shows in Brooklyn, two in Los Angeles, plus stops in Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, San Diego, Glendale and Las Vegas.
The support act changes between continents. Artist and producer underscores is opening the North American concerts, while Audrey Hobert will take over for all six U.K. and European shows.
Hobert first gained wider recognition as a co-writer on Gracie Abrams’ album The Secret of Us. She later moved into her own recording career with songs including “Sue Me” and “Bowling Alley,” giving the 2027 audiences an opener with an established pop-writing résumé rather than an entirely unfamiliar name.
When Charli announced the North American leg, she wrote, “Can’t wait to party together again, it’s gonna be cute.” The arena-scale production suggests the word “cute” is being asked to carry a fairly substantial lighting budget.
Is Music, Fashion, Film actually a rock album?
The record marks a clear shift from the club-focused sound that powered Brat, but Charli has resisted treating it as a straightforward rock reinvention. NME reported that she explicitly called Music, Fashion, Film “not a rock album.” She made a similar distinction to SPIN, saying the track “Rock Music” was “not actually rock music.”
That clarification followed an earlier, deliberately provocative comment to Pitchfork: “I think the dance floor is dead, so now we’re making rock music.” She later framed the remark as playful rather than a formal genre declaration. The dance floor, apparently, had suffered a temporary administrative death.
The 11-track album was made largely in Paris with longtime collaborator A. G. Cook and producer Finn Keane. Its closing track features filmmaker David Cronenberg, neatly underlining the project’s interest in crossing music with cinema rather than staying in one tidy category.
Charli told Apple Music that she had planned to take a break before the album took shape. “When inspiration strikes, I feel like you would be naive not to jump at it,” she said.
The tour continues Charli’s post-Brat expansion
Music, Fashion, Film reached No. 1 in Britain, becoming Charli’s fourth chart-topping album after Crash, Brat and the 2026 Wuthering Heights soundtrack. According to Official Charts, the result also made her the first British female artist to score two new No. 1 albums in a single calendar year.
The album received strong reviews alongside its commercial success. Variety described it as a “sonic palette cleanser” for the post-Brat period, familiar enough to connect with her previous work while leaving room for another change of direction.
That flexibility now appears to be the broader plan. Between a chart-leading studio record, the Wuthering Heights soundtrack, growing film work and an arena tour explicitly named after three creative industries, Charli is building a post-Brat career that extends beyond another cycle of dance-pop releases.
For now, European fans have six shows rather than a full continental sweep. More dates have not been announced, so Amsterdam and Paris remain the only stops outside Ireland and Britain. Efficient for the tour schedule, rather less so for everyone else.
