The choice of location immediately strengthened reports that Oasis may return to Manchester for an extended run. It does not, however, confirm the Etihad as a venue, an opening night or any particular number of concerts. As of the latest checks cited in reporting, the band had not published a 2027 itinerary on its official live page.
Which stadium dates are being reported?
Several outlets have published plans for a much larger schedule than a routine stadium tour. The Sun, as summarised by LBC and MusicRadar, reported that Oasis could play 12 Etihad Stadium concerts across six weeks from June 2027, followed by six shows at Knebworth in September.
ScottishNews.com separately reported a possible itinerary involving:
- Five concerts at Celtic Park in Glasgow
- 12 dates at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester
- Six Knebworth performances
- Additional shows in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Ireland
That would amount to 23 UK performances before any European dates were added. Official teaser videos have also prompted fans to identify apparent clues for Glasgow and other cities, with NME and El País reporting on the speculation.
The Glasgow plan could present an early logistical problem. One reported Celtic Park opening date would coincide with Scotland’s cup final on May 22. Stadium access, policing and transport would therefore require careful planning, which is the less glamorous part of putting several hundred thousand people near football grounds.
For now, all those dates remain reports or fan interpretations rather than a confirmed schedule.
What have Liam and Noel Gallagher said?
Liam Gallagher has done little to reduce expectations. When a fan asked whether Oasis would play Rome in 2027, he replied: “Without a doubt, 100 percent,” according to Radio X. After reports suggested two concerts in the Italian capital, he added that two shows were “more than sufficient.”
Noel Gallagher has been less direct. Speaking to talkSPORT, he joked that because there is no major football tournament in 2027, “something” would have to keep the band occupied.
Neither comment amounts to a formal announcement, but both fit the broader trail of venue clues and industry reports. The September 14 message should provide the first opportunity to separate the actual plan from the increasingly detailed speculation.
Ticketmaster has been reported as the likely seller for standard UK tickets, with Seat Unique expected to handle hospitality packages. No official on-sale time or ticket allocation had been confirmed beyond the 4pm announcement teaser, so fans should be cautious about unofficial listings.
Why another Oasis tour would be enormous
Oasis reunited for their 2025 comeback after years of estrangement and no tour together since 2009. The run began at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, continued across the United Kingdom and Ireland, then travelled to Canada, the United States, Mexico, Asia, Australia and South America.
Pollstar ranked the comeback as the second-highest-grossing tour of 2025. Published box-office figures put revenue at about $405.4 million from 36 reported shows.
Manchester alone demonstrated the scale involved. Greater Manchester Police said approximately 300,000 people attended the five Heaton Park concerts, although other event estimates placed the total closer to 400,000.
Those numbers explain why reports of 12 Etihad nights and six Knebworth shows are commercially plausible, even if they remain unofficial. They also explain why a 500-drone production was considered a reasonable teaser rather than a slightly excessive use of regulated airspace.
The next confirmed step is the message in the sky: September 14 at 4pm BST. Everything beyond that still needs to come from Oasis rather than rumours, venue clues or Liam Gallagher answering fans online.
