Actor Nick Pasqual was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison Tuesday for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, makeup artist Allie Shehorn, following a jury conviction tied to a May 2024 attack at her Sunland home.
Pasqual, known for an appearance on How I Met Your Mother, was convicted last month. Pasqual was sentenced to decades in prison; any possible release will depend on life-sentence rules, not public remorse or image repair.
What prosecutors said happened
Prosecutors said Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s home in the early morning hours and stabbed her more than 20 times. The wounds were to her neck, chest, back, abdomen, arms, and wrists.
After the attack, authorities said Pasqual fled toward the U.S.-Mexico border. He was later arrested and charged in the case.
Shehorn survived after emergency surgery and extensive medical treatment. She has said the assault left her with permanent injuries, emotional trauma, and significant medical bills.
