Nate Smith is treating his health like part of the job, not a glossy side quest. The country singer has detailed his recent weight loss after dropping more than 70 pounds from a starting weight he said was around 275 pounds.
The 40-year-old “Fix What You Didn’t Break” and “World on Fire” singer told People that his goal is not just a number on a scale, though he does have one in mind.
“So I was like 275 lbs., somewhere around that,” Smith said. “But I want to get down to like 185 lbs. again.”
Why Nate Smith changed his health routine
Smith said the shift began with a more health-focused lifestyle in 2024. For an artist whose work depends on long nights, travel, and high-energy performances, the payoff has been practical.
He said the milestone helps him with “keeping the energy on stage” while performing in Nashville and elsewhere, “because I think that takes care of the fans.”
