“While one of her cats, Doris, is reportedly still missing, instead of being worried sick and out searching for her, as any caring, responsible guardian would, she has flown to another country and acquired a new dog, as easily as one replaces a pair of socks.”
Price has been travelling between the UK and Dubai after Andrews was detained there. During that time, her pets were left at home in the care of someone else.
Bekhechi also took aim at the choice of breed, given Dubai’s climate. She said: “A Pomsky of all animals, in the Dubai heat, to add insult to injury. How many animals have been lost, discarded, or have died under her so-called ‘care’ before authorities ban her from keeping animals?”
She added that Peta’s previous £5,000 offer for Price to stop acquiring animals “still stands,” saying the group was urging her to accept it “for the sake of Doris, this puppy, and any other animals unfortunate enough to cross her path.”
What Price said about Doris going missing
Before the Dubai puppy posts, Price had shared a public plea asking people near her home to look out for Doris and return her to Arun Vets in Storrington if found.
“I came to Dubai Wednesday, and my cats were home Tuesday night,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “I live in a private area and my cats don’t just disappear.
“Whoever has them return them. They are my babies.”
Several hours later, one of the missing cats, Eilleen, returned. Price shared a video of the cat drinking water during the UK heatwave, saying Eilleen had “walked through the door.”
Doris, however, appeared to remain missing in the last update Price gave. After that, her social media returned to more familiar territory: promotional posts, a CBD oil plug, a photo of her and Andrews holding hands, and a tribute calling him “the best husband.”
“Completes me in every f**ked up way,” she wrote. “Met my perfect match and nothing will defy us!”
She also posted a photo of her daughter Princess, calling her “mini me.” There was still no further public update on Doris.
Lee Andrews claimed another cat had died
The missing cat appeal came shortly after Andrews claimed that one of Price’s cats had died, although Price herself has not confirmed that loss.
During a Cameo video, Andrews said: “She’s got five Sphynxes actually. One has just passed away.
“Sorry, eight Sphynxes, five dogs. Eight Sphynxes, now seven, one passed away.”
That claim has added to the concern around Price’s animals, particularly because Doris’ disappearance remains unresolved in public view.
The new puppy is believed to be Price and Andrews’ first animal in Dubai, where the couple appear to be trying to build a life together. Andrews is rumoured to be unable to leave the United Arab Emirates, though the full circumstances around his situation have not been publicly clarified.
A long and painful history with pets
Price’s record with animals has been widely discussed for years, not because anyone wants to keep a spreadsheet of celebrity pet tragedies, but because there have been many.
At least eight animals connected to Price are known to have died while in her care or at her home over the years:
- November 2017: One of her horses was killed on the A24 after breaking loose from its field.
- February 2018: Her dog Queenie was hit by a car near her home. Price blamed a delivery driver for leaving the gate open.
- November 2018: Price said the family chameleon, Marvin, died from a broken heart after her children Junior and Princess moved in with her ex-husband, Peter Andre.
- February 2020: Her Alsatian Sparkle died after escaping and being hit by a car.
- July 2020: Princess’ puppy Rolo suffocated after becoming caught in the mechanism of an electric-powered chair.
- November 2022: Her Pomeranian Sharon was hit by a car and killed.
- June 2023: Her dog Blade was run over on the same stretch of road as Sharon.
- August 2025: Doris gave birth to a premature kitten, which did not survive.
Two other kittens from Doris’ litter reportedly survived.
The pattern has drawn repeated public criticism. In 2020, more than 37,000 people signed a petition calling for Price to be banned from owning pets. A fresh petition was created in 2025.
Peta’s previous offer and Price’s response
Peta has previously offered Price £5,000 if she agreed to sign a “legally binding agreement promising never to acquire another animal.”
At the time, Price’s representative told MailOnline: “Kate has asked PETA many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.
“If they want to have a direct conversation with Kate they can get in touch.”
Despite the criticism, Price has continued to keep animals, including cats and dogs. Andrews’ recent claim suggested she had eight Sphynx cats and five dogs before one alleged cat death, though again, Price has not confirmed that herself.
