A rare sister appearance at Paris Fashion Week

Jennifer Lopez, 56, and Lynda Lopez, 55, attended the Celia Kritharioti haute couture fall and winter 2026/2027 show on July 9 during Paris Fashion Week 2026. The sisters sat front row for the presentation, but they also gave photographers plenty to work with outside the venue.

Jennifer wore a long sheer dress covered in beading, paired with very high heels and a white fur coat. Lynda chose a white gown with a sheer skirt layered over pink-and-white lining, with beading across the bodice.

It was a polished joint appearance by sisters who are often compared for their similar looks, though they are not often photographed together at major fashion events. Paris, naturally, did not object to the extra glamour.

The moment stood out because Jennifer has long described her inner circle as intentionally small, even while living one of the most public careers in entertainment. In a 2025 interview with Howard Stern, she said, “I have a very small circle,” and described her sisters, Lynda Lopez and Leslie Ann Lopez, as her “best friends.”

That context made the Paris appearance feel a little more meaningful than the usual celebrity front-row sighting. For Jennifer, whose career has moved through music, film, television, business, and decades of tabloid attention, showing up with family is less a styling choice than a reminder of who stays closest when the cameras are off.

Lynda Lopez has always kept Jennifer grounded

Lynda, a journalist and author, has talked before about how strange it can feel to watch her sister become a global celebrity. During a 2002 appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, she made clear that fame had not changed the basic sibling dynamic.

“She’s a famous movie star to all of you, but not to me,” Lynda said. “She’s still my sister. She’s still my little pain in the butt sister.”

She also joked about how odd it was to see crowds gather for someone she remembers very differently.

“I don’t know why it makes me laugh, I’m like ‘All these people are here to see my goofball sister.’ It’s the only thought that goes through your head,” Lynda said. “It’s like, ‘I can’t believe these are people that are here to see, Jen, my goofy sister who ran around in her underwear in our house when we were little.’”

That is the useful function of siblings: they can admire you, support you, and still remember the childhood details no publicist would ever put in a press release.
