Investigators are reconstructing the final moments

Investigators from France’s Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses for Civil Aviation Safety arrived at the crash site to piece together the aircraft’s final approach.

A K-9 unit was brought in to check whether anyone else had been on board. Officials were still working to confirm there were no additional passengers.

The investigation will likely focus on the approach, the sudden descent, and why the plane crashed so close to the runway.

Guillemot’s role in Ubisoft’s history

Claude Guillemot was part of the family behind one of the best-known names in the video game industry. Ubisoft was founded by the five Guillemot brothers and went on to become the publisher behind major franchises including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Just Dance.

His death comes as Ubisoft remains a regular focus of industry attention, including recent confirmation that multiple Assassin’s Creed remakes are currently in development.
