The children initially looked confused, so he abandoned the numerical hint and said plainly, “Mommy’s pregnant!”
“Actually?” Future responded. He then shouted, “No way... the speculations were true! I knew it,” while his younger siblings ran around screaming.
Ciara and Wilson called the exchange “the best moment of all” when they shared it on Instagram. The clip offered a more chaotic follow-up to their carefully staged public announcement one day earlier. Children, as ever, declined to follow the restrained publicity plan.
What the couple included in the pregnancy reveal
Ciara and Wilson announced the pregnancy on Sunday, September 6, with a video showing the singer hanging white shirts on a clothesline. Four shirts carried the names of their children, followed by a blank onesie representing the new baby.
Both captioned the post, “One more person to Love.” Wilson also commented, “Baby Cinco!”
Friends and fellow celebrities quickly congratulated them. Kehlani, Nicole Scherzinger and Vanessa Bryant were among those responding, while La La Anthony wrote, “Another beautiful blessing!!! More to love!!!”
Some coverage created avoidable confusion over the family count. The baby will be Ciara’s fifth child overall, but her fourth with Wilson. She welcomed Future Zahir Wilburn with rapper Future in May 2014. After beginning a relationship with Wilson the following year, she married the former NFL quarterback in England in July 2016.
Ciara and Wilson then welcomed Sienna in April 2017, Win in July 2020 and Amora in December 2023.
Why “Cinco” has followed the family for years
The fifth-baby theme did not appear suddenly. Wilson has spent years publicly lobbying for another child, with roughly the subtlety of a recurring advertising campaign.
Shortly after Amora’s birth, he was already raising the subject. Ciara told Us Weekly that he asked, “So, cinco?” Her answer at the time was practical: “Wait a minute now, like, slow it down, sir. We just had a baby here. Let’s be in this moment here, sir.”
She did not rule it out, however. “I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job of all,” she said, adding that she could imagine having “cinco” one day.
Wilson continued the campaign in 2024, writing, “I’m ready when you are. We can call him Cinco.” At Fanatics Fest in July 2026, he told E! News, “We have four amazing kids and I’m trying to convince Ciara to have a fifth.”
Two months later, the campaign appears to have achieved its objective. Whether the baby will actually be called Cinco remains unknown, and probably depends on whether Wilson’s naming proposal receives more support than his initial headcount proposal.
A new chapter after football
The pregnancy also arrives during a major professional shift for the couple. NBC reported that Wilson retired in June after 14 NFL seasons and will join CBS’s The NFL Today. The move into broadcasting should produce a more predictable schedule than playing quarterback, although newborns are not known for respecting television timetables.
Ciara, meanwhile, released her YES PACK EP on August 25. She and Wilson also celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in July, giving the family several milestones in a short stretch.
For now, details about the newest child remain private. What is public is the reaction at home: Future felt vindicated, the younger children provided the required volume, and Wilson finally got to count to five without Ciara telling him to slow down.
