Arena shows now involve major staging, lighting, video, sound, choreography, and enough technical coordination to make a clipboard feel underqualified. When one part of that system is not ready, shifting dates can become the least messy option.

Where the tour goes next
Grande launched the tour in support of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, on June 6 in Oakland, California. The run is set to continue across the United States, with additional stops in Canada and London.
As currently scheduled, the tour will close Sept. 1 at the O2 Arena in London.
The tour marks a major return to the stage for Grande, who told fans earlier this month that it had been seven years since she had performed in front of them in this way. That history has made the concerts feel less like a standard album cycle and more like a reintroduction, with fans watching both the production and the person at the center of it.

“This is so overwhelming in the most beautiful way ever,” she said as the audience applauded.
The Grammy winner thanked fans for being “such a loving, safe presence” in her life “throughout all these chapters and all of these years.”
“It’s been seven years since I’ve been on stage in front of you all,” she added, “and you’ve stood by my side and supported me.”
Grande has also recently been seen spending time with another ex, dancer Ricky Alvarez. After photos of the two circulated on social media, sources told TMZ that there “is nothing romantic between Ariana and Ricky this time around.”
