“What’s meant for you is always going to work out,” she said. “And if something is constantly making you feel uncomfortable, just on edge all the time, you probably are not supposed to be there.”
Megan later addressed cheating while offering advice to other people recovering from a breakup. “People cheating on you, that doesn’t have anything to do with you,” she said. “You’re not less attractive. You’re not less of a good person.”
Thompson had not publicly responded to the implied infidelity allegation in the reports published by September 9. In August, the former Dallas player signed a two-year contract worth approximately $11.5 million with the Miami Heat.
For Megan, the central issue now appears to be equality. She said any future partner will need to accept that her work is not an optional hobby to be stored away when inconvenient.
