CelebrityKatie Price Says Husband Lee Andrews Is Out Soon

Katie Price says husband Lee Andrews could be out of prison in Dubai within days, and that she is waiting to speak to him before making any final decision about their marriage. It is not exactly the romantic chapter most newlyweds put on the mood board.

The 48-year-old TV personality and former glamour model has said Andrews, whom she married five months ago, has been held for weeks at Al Awir Central Prison in Dubai. Price flew to the United Arab Emirates after losing contact with him, initially fearing he may have been kidnapped.

That explanation has since given way to a more complicated one: Andrews is behind bars amid fraud allegations, according to reports.

When does Katie Price say Lee Andrews will be released?

Speaking to The Sun, Price said she has been told Andrews should be released imminently.

“He is coming out, I can’t wait to see him, can’t wait to have our chats, and he should be out next week, but knowing that, knowing what prisons are like even in England, you never know,” she said.

Price also insisted she will not pay money to secure his release, despite reports that Andrews needs around £140,000 to get out.

“I’ve made it clear to Lee, I will never give him money, I’ll never give a man money, I’ve done it all my life, I’ve always been the breadwinner,” she said. “My divorces, I’m the one that always has to give. I said to Lee I’ll never do it.”

According to Price, she was initially told she would need to pay £6,500 for authorities to release him. She later said she was informed of a third case awaiting a court date, allegedly linked to property.

Why did Katie Price think he had been kidnapped?

Price said her alarm began after Andrews missed a planned appearance on Good Morning Britain and stopped responding. She reported him missing and contacted a specialist team in the UK because she feared he had been kidnapped.

“I’ve never thought Lee’s ghosted me, because I know how close we are,” she said.

She added that the couple had often discussed crime stories together, which made her imagine worst-case scenarios when he vanished.

“Never thought it, and we’ve always had conversations because we both like watching crime and stuff like that,” she said. “You always think of scenarios, we would never do anything like that to it, or we, our relationship isn’t like that, we’re proper like this.”

Price said the involvement of the kidnap team made the situation feel more serious, because they could only advise her based on their intelligence.

“And so it was a worry when the kidnap team then came on because they can only say from their intelligence,” she added.

What has Lee Andrews been accused of since marrying Katie Price?

Andrews has faced scrutiny almost from the moment Price introduced him as her partner. At the time, he presented himself as a businessman with Dubai connections, calling himself chief executive of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an “investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness.”

His social media account, which had 111,000 followers, featured gym photos, Dubai lifestyle images and pictures that appeared to show him with high-profile figures including Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian.

Those claims later came under question. Reports said there was little clear information about his company on its website, while some celebrity images appeared to have been generated using artificial intelligence.

That was only the start of the mess. After meeting and marrying Andrews in Dubai, Price returned to the UK, but Andrews did not join her. He allegedly could not leave the UAE because of a travel ban connected to a criminal investigation.

The allegations reportedly included claims that he had taken out a £200,000 mortgage in an ex-girlfriend’s name without her knowledge. Andrews denied he was unable to travel to the UK and suggested there must have been “wrong details.” Price later confirmed he was subject to a ban, though she did not explain the reason.

How did the marriage become such a public drama?

The couple’s relationship also drew attention after they hinted that Price was pregnant only weeks after getting together. Price said she was “having his child,” while Andrews posted that they were a “perfect couple soon to be triple.”

At one stage, Price encouraged followers to pay £2.99 to learn the result of a pregnancy test. She later confirmed she was not pregnant.

Soon after the pair married, two of Andrews’ former partners accused him of being a “liar, narcissist and manipulator.” Two months later, reports claimed he had been asking women for money shortly before marrying Price.

One ex, Alana, posted on Instagram describing him as the “Tinder Swindler” and claimed other women had contacted her alleging he had tried to scam them too.

Then came his disappearance. Reports claimed Andrews had “ghosted” Price and was staying in a slightly run-down villa in Dubai while using a burner phone. The Sun reported that he was “frantically planning a route out of this ginormous hole he appears to have buried himself in.”

Price, however, has pushed back against the idea that he simply abandoned her.

What happens next for Katie Price and Lee Andrews?

Despite everything, Price said she is not ready to walk away from the marriage without speaking to Andrews first.

She said the latest information has left her needing “some time to think” about their relationship, but she does not believe she can make a final decision until she has seen him again.

“I still cannot end things with Lee until I’ve spoken to him, but that was a lot,” she said.

She added: “I cannot just walk away from my marriage without seeing him again. He is, surely, entitled to his say?”

For Price, the situation appears to have shifted from panic to damage control. The kidnapping fear has been replaced by legal complications, money questions and a marriage that now depends on a conversation she still has not been able to have.
