The new photo comes only weeks after Griffin appeared to make a different relationship Instagram-official.
In mid-May, she posted a photo with another unidentified man, one who appeared closer to her in age. At the time, she wrote: “We’re insta official. Deal with it.”
That earlier photo has since been deleted. Griffin has not publicly explained why, but its disappearance suggests that whatever was being announced in May may already be over, or at least no longer available for public viewing. Celebrity relationships now come with version control, apparently.
The back-to-back posts have left followers trying to work out whether Griffin is documenting a fast-moving dating life, joking with the public, or some combination of both. Her latest caption, at least, suggests she knew exactly what kind of reaction she was inviting.
How fans and famous friends reacted
The comments under Griffin’s post leaned supportive, amused, and very ready to participate.
Courtney Stodden, who has their own history with a widely discussed age-gap relationship, commented: “You’ll always be hot.” Stodden married actor Doug Hutchison when Stodden was 16 and he was 51. The pair later split.
Other commenters focused on the practical realities of dating across a major generational divide.

In the essay, Griffin wrote: “I accidentally fell in love with a 23-year-old.”
She said the younger man’s age affected how he related to her, in ways she found refreshing.
“Because of his age, he didn’t have the usual sexism, misogyny, and biases that guys my age tend to have. He seemed to see me. I know that sounds really corny. Oh God, it sounds so lame! But I felt really comfortable with him, and I felt very content just hanging out.”
That quote was notable because Griffin framed the attraction less as shock value and more as emotional relief. For someone whose career and personal life have both played out under a fairly unforgiving spotlight, being “seen” matters.
Why the last younger romance ended
Still, Griffin also made clear that the romance with the 23-year-old did not last. The age gap, she wrote, eventually became impossible to ignore.
“I knew he was too young when he told me he never wanted to have kids and that he could be with me forever. And I was like: ‘You don’t know that. You’re 23. You have no idea,’” she wrote.
“So I had to set that dove free.”
The line was classic Griffin: funny, dramatic, and just sincere enough to keep the joke from swallowing the point. She seemed to understand that affection alone does not erase life-stage differences, especially when one person is still early in adulthood and the other has already lived through several very public chapters.

For now, Griffin has not identified the 22-year-old man, said how serious the relationship is, or explained whether the post was a real romantic announcement or a calculated spark tossed into the comments.
What she has done is remind everyone that her personal life still sits somewhere between confession, performance, and social experiment. The emotional stakes are not hard to spot either. After a public split and a difficult few years, Griffin appears to be enjoying attention on her own terms.
