John Travolta’s Cannes return came with a fresh red-carpet look and a family moment beside his daughter Ella Bleu Travolta. The 72-year-old actor attended the May 15 screening of Karma at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival wearing circular eyeglasses and a white beret, a combination that made the outing stand out before the ceremony even got to the awards part.
What Did John Travolta Wear At Cannes?
Travolta, best known to generations of viewers for Saturday Night Fever, Grease, and Welcome Back, Kotter, paired his white beret with a black three-piece suit and a crisp white collared shirt. He finished the look with a white tie, a matching pocket square, and black patent leather loafers.
The eyeglasses were especially notable because Travolta has not typically worn spectacles on the red carpet. Cannes is not exactly a low-visibility environment, so the change did not pass quietly.
Ella, 26, also kept the palette classic. She wore a sleeveless black evening gown with velvet detailing, accessorized with Chopard jewelry and black pointed-toe heels. She is Travolta’s daughter with his late wife, Kelly Preston. Travolta is also father to Benjamin Travolta, 15, and his late son, Jett Travolta.
Why Was This Cannes Appearance Significant?
The outing marked Travolta’s first appearance at the festival since 2018, when he premiered Gotti and took part in celebrations for the 40th anniversary of Grease.
