After Nine Years, Seyfried and Sadoski Split

Neither post directly addressed the marriage, although the timing ensured both would be examined with the care usually reserved for official documents.

How Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski met

Seyfried and Sadoski first met in 2015 while appearing in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By. They later worked together again in the 2017 film The Last Word.

Sadoski revealed their marriage during a March 2017 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. He said the couple had eloped in the countryside with only an officiant present.

“We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing,” he told host James Corden. Sadoski also called Seyfried “the person I love, admire, respect most in the world.”

The couple share two children, daughter Nina, 9, and son Thomas, 5.

Seyfried had discussed pressure at home

In November 2025, Seyfried spoke openly about the strain of balancing parenthood with an unusually busy period in her acting career. At the time, she was promoting two films released that year, The Housemaid and The Testament of Ann Lee.

“This is the most I’ve ever worked with two kids, and I’ve never had two movies come out at the same time,” she told Us Weekly. She added that she was “a little bit bananas” amid the workload.

In a January interview with Vogue, Seyfried said Sadoski had made significant sacrifices to support her career. She explained that he understood the opportunities being offered to her were exceptional, while adding that she still turned down plenty of work.

Sadoski was previously married to casting director Kimberly Hope. That marriage ended in October 2015 after eight years. Seyfried had not been married before her relationship with Sadoski.
