Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have split after nine years of marriage, confirming that they had quietly separated before making the news public on Tuesday.
“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit,” the actors said in a joint statement to People. They added that they would remain in each other’s lives, describing their continuing bond as “GOOD.”
Representatives for the couple were contacted for further comment.
Their social media remained friendly
Shortly before the separation became public, Seyfried, 40, posted a photo of Sadoski, 50, holding her bearded dragon, Romeo, on Instagram Stories. She labelled him “#reptiledad,” which is not the standard social media treatment for a bitter ex.
The Mamma Mia! star also shared a more reflective quote: “There’s really not a difficult thing unless you decide it’s a difficult thing. Otherwise, it’s just the next thing you’re figuring out.”
