Katie Price and Lee Andrews’ split has acquired the modern celebrity seal of confirmation: an Instagram bio edit. The former glamour model has removed her estranged husband’s name and the wedding-ring emoji that once occupied a prominent place on her profile.
The change comes weeks after Price, 48, reportedly ended the couple’s eight-month marriage through WhatsApp. Photos of Andrews remain on her Instagram grid, including a romantic post dated July 2, but the highly visible declaration of marriage has gone.
It is a small piece of digital housekeeping, though a pointed one after Price spent months publicly defending Andrews while questions grew around his businesses, finances and legal position in Dubai.
When did Katie Price and Lee Andrews marry?
Price and Andrews married in Dubai in January 2026 after a rapid romance. Andrews presented himself online as a wealthy businessman, listing roles including chief executive of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and investor in “SpaceX Hybrid Fitness”.
His social media account, which had more than 100,000 followers, featured expensive cars, luxury settings and apparent meetings with figures including Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian. That glossy image soon attracted scrutiny. Reporters found little public evidence that his companies operated as described, while some celebrity photographs were alleged to have been generated using artificial intelligence.
Further allegations emerged within days of the wedding. Two former partners described Andrews as a “liar, narcissist and manipulator”. Another ex-partner, identified as Alana, later called him the “Tinder Swindler” on Instagram and claimed other women had contacted her with accusations that he had tried to obtain money from them.
Speaking later on a podcast, she made the more serious claim: “I genuinely thought that potentially he could have killed me.” Andrews has denied or disputed a number of allegations made about him.
Why did Lee Andrews remain in Dubai?
After the wedding, Price returned to the United Kingdom without her husband. Reports claimed Andrews could not leave the United Arab Emirates because of legal and financial matters.
He was alleged to have previously served time at Dubai’s Al Awir prison in connection with suspected fraud, including a claim that he took out a £200,000 mortgage in a former girlfriend’s name without her knowledge. Andrews denied being prevented from travelling to Britain and suggested authorities had the “wrong details”. Price later confirmed that a travel restriction existed, although she did not explain its basis.
His continued absence then became more complicated. In May, Price said she feared her husband had been kidnapped and reported him missing. It later emerged that he had been imprisoned in Dubai.
Reports suggested Andrews spent about four weeks in Al Awir prison over outstanding debts and was released around July 20. His final known social media activity before disappearing from public view came on July 9.
Another report claimed he was arrested on July 11 while trying to raise roughly £120,000 that he believed he owed. In a message reportedly sent to a friend, Andrews said: “They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a GoFundMe.”
Lahbab Police Station told the newspaper reporting the claim that it had no record of Andrews being held there. Price’s representative declined to comment at the time.
What happened to the kidnapping claim?
After returning to social media, Andrews gave an extraordinary version of events. He claimed he had been kidnapped at gunpoint, physically assaulted and falsely accused of espionage.
Dubai authorities disputed the suggestion that he had been detained over suspected spying. They previously described the issue as a private civil dispute, considerably less cinematic but potentially no less serious.
Court documents later identified two outstanding cases involving Andrews. One concerned an alleged debt of £54,000 linked to a car rental company. The other involved a claim for about £15,000 in unpaid legal fees.
Price continued supporting him publicly while the competing accounts circulated. Her July 2 photograph of the couple remains the latest affectionate image of them on her Instagram grid. At that stage, Andrews’ location and legal circumstances were already the subject of mounting speculation.
The disappearance of his name from her profile now carries more weight because Price had repeatedly attached herself to his version of events. Social media biographies are not legal filings, but celebrity separations rarely wait for paperwork before beginning the public announcement process.
Did the couple claim they were expecting a baby?
Only weeks into the relationship, Price and Andrews suggested that they might be having a child. Price said she was “having his child”, while Andrews described them as a “perfect couple soon to be triple”.
Price, who has five children, also encouraged followers to pay £2.99 to discover the result of a pregnancy test. She later confirmed that she was not pregnant.
The episode added to criticism that the couple were using personal claims to generate attention and paid engagement. It also became one of several unusual public developments during a marriage that lasted less time than many television subscription offers.
By August, signs of trouble had become harder to overlook. Price was photographed in Ibiza without her wedding ring, although the “Owned by Lee” tattoo on her arm remained visible. Reports then claimed she had consulted divorce lawyers before news of the separation emerged.
Price reportedly ended the marriage by WhatsApp. Neither she nor Andrews has publicly provided a detailed account of the breakup.
Could Lee Andrews claim part of Katie Price’s money?
The focus may now move from Instagram to finances. Price is reportedly worried that Andrews could seek a share of her assets when the marriage formally ends.
Her financial difficulties have been extensively documented over several years. More recently, she has worked to rebuild her income through OnlyFans and other commercial projects.
A source told The Sun that there was “a real worry Lee is going to try and take half of what she’s worth”. The same source claimed Price “does not want to be his next con” and hopes they can separate amicably.
Any financial claim would depend on the relevant law, where divorce proceedings take place and the couple’s individual circumstances. No reported claim from Andrews has yet been detailed, and concern about what he might pursue is not confirmation that he has begun doing so.
For now, Price’s public action is limited to removing his tag and the wedding symbol from her biography. The older photographs remain, as does the tattoo, which is somewhat less responsive to profile settings.
Still, the edit marks a clear change. Price spent much of 2026 publicly presenting Andrews as her husband and defending him through reports of imprisonment, disputed kidnapping claims, debt cases and accusations from former partners.
