The Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun romance appears to be going strong more than a year after the pair met, with fresh lingerie photos, shared travel clips and a conveniently initialled necklace providing the latest evidence. Celebrity relationships once required formal statements. Apparently, jewellery and Instagram Stories now handle the paperwork.
Sweeney, 29, appeared in selfies posted Monday by her lingerie brand, Syrn. The Euphoria actor modelled the label’s black lace Forever Yours Lightly Lined Demi Bra while wearing a delicate charm necklace bearing the initials “SB.”
The necklace is not new. Sweeney first wore it publicly at the Stagecoach Festival in April, where she hosted a saloon-themed pop-up. Braun, 45, was also there and was photographed lifting her onto his shoulders during Ella Langley’s performance.
It returned last week in campaign images for Syrn’s “Send Nudes” collection. The marketing may be playful, but the necklace has become a fairly persistent detail in the couple’s increasingly public relationship.
How public has their relationship become?
Sweeney and Braun reportedly met at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice in June 2025. Since then, they have travelled extensively together, with reported trips to Australia, New Zealand and Mallorca, Spain.
During the Mallorca visit last month, the pair were seen riding a jet ski near David Geffen’s superyacht. Their travel schedule has not exactly suggested an interest in keeping things quiet.
Braun added another entry to the shared holiday record on Monday when he posted a video of Sweeney water skiing through a canyon in golden evening light. The location appeared to be Lake Powell, which sits along the Arizona-Utah border. Sweeney then reposted the video to her Instagram Story.
The music executive has also been direct about his feelings. In an Instagram tribute marking Sweeney’s 29th birthday on September 12, he called her “the person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived.”
That is considerably more revealing than a matching airport photograph, although the internet will naturally continue examining both.
Could Scooter Braun propose to Sydney Sweeney?
The relationship may soon move beyond necklaces and luxury trips. A source told Page Six that Braun wants to marry Sweeney and could propose within the next six months.
“He thinks she is the modern Marilyn Monroe,” the insider said. “He is trying very hard to marry her.”
Neither Sweeney nor Braun has confirmed an engagement plan, so the proposal remains a source claim rather than a scheduled event. Still, Braun’s public birthday message and the couple’s frequent appearances together have done little to discourage speculation.
Both have previously been in serious relationships. Sweeney was engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino before the couple separated in January 2025. Braun, meanwhile, finalised his divorce from Yael Cohen in 2022.
For now, the clearest official evidence is what the pair have chosen to share: affectionate posts, international trips and an “SB” necklace that keeps turning up in Sweeney’s campaigns. Subtle it is not, but ambiguity does seem increasingly difficult to maintain.
