Kash Patel and Alexis Wilkins’ engagement is official, with the FBI director and country music singer announcing their plans in a Sunday post on X.
Wilkins shared a smiling photograph of the couple alongside the caption, “Went and got the law involved.” Given Patel’s day job, the legal reference was probably inevitable.
The couple did not reveal when or where they plan to marry. Patel, who serves as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation under President Donald Trump, can now add wedding planning to a schedule presumably already short on quiet afternoons.
How did Kash Patel and Alexis Wilkins meet?
Patel and Wilkins have been together since around 2023. Wilkins previously told podcaster Megyn Kelly that they first met at a friend’s home during an event in Nashville, Tennessee.
She also discussed her background during the interview, explaining that she spent part of her childhood in England and Switzerland but was raised mainly in Arkansas.
Wilkins describes herself on LinkedIn as a country music artist and performer. She released her debut album, Grit, in April 2023.
Wilkins attended Patel’s FBI swearing-in
Their relationship had already included at least one major public appearance before the engagement announcement. In 2025, Wilkins stood beside Patel as he was sworn in as FBI director.
Now the pair are preparing for a different ceremony, although no wedding date, venue or further plans have been made public. The FBI’s considerable investigative resources are unlikely to help with seating charts, but Patel is at least accustomed to complicated assignments.
