The Ozzy Osbourne final concert film will open in cinemas worldwide on October 28, 2026, giving fans another chance to witness the singer’s last performance with Black Sabbath. Titled Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning, the film captures the landmark farewell staged at Villa Park in Birmingham.
Ben Wainwright-Pearce directed the cinema release after previously helming Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour for Disney+. The production promises a “fully immersive audio-visual experience,” because a standard volume setting was apparently never going to suit Black Sabbath.
Why the Villa Park concert carried extra weight
The show took place on July 5, 2025, just 17 days before Osbourne died on July 22 following a years-long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Held in the city where Black Sabbath began, the concert served as both a homecoming and a carefully planned goodbye.
Osbourne performed material from his solo career before reuniting with original Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. It marked the first time all four had performed together in 20 years.
Sharon Osbourne, his wife and manager, said the event grew from a simple conversation about what he still wanted to achieve.
