Natalie Portman has offered a small window into her Paris life, sharing a new Instagram carousel that Page Six reports comes as she awaits the birth of her third child.
The Black Swan actor, 44, posted the update on Thursday with a simple caption: “Paris lately.” The photos were very Paris in the practical sense: a selfie by the River Seine, several shots of famous artworks, floral bouquets, and a few appearances from her dog. No grand statement, no heavy explanation. Just a carefully curated city check-in.
A Paris chapter that began in 2014
Portman moved to Paris in 2014 with her then-husband, Benjamin Millepied, after he took a role with the Paris Opera Ballet. The move became part of a longer European chapter for the actor, who has kept much of her personal life out of the daily celebrity churn.
Portman and Millepied divorced in March 2024. Their split followed reports about Millepied’s alleged affair with climate activist Camille Étienne. Those claims were reported at the time, but Portman has generally avoided turning the subject into a public spectacle.
What has been reported about her new relationship
According to Page Six, Portman has since moved on with French musician Tanguy Destable. In April, she told Harper’s Bazaar that she and Destable were expecting their first child together after a little more than a year of dating.
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” Portman told the magazine. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
She also spoke carefully about pregnancy, noting that the subject can be complicated for many people.
“I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant. I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing.”
“And so I know how lucky it is,” she continued. “I’m very aware, and I’m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.”
Their blended family
Portman is already mother to two children with Millepied: son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9.
Destable also has two children with his ex, French actress Louise Bourgoin: Étienne, born in April 2016, and Vadim, born in 2020.
For now, Portman’s latest public update is less announcement than atmosphere: art, flowers, the Seine, and a dog with excellent supporting-player instincts.
