Jessica Blair Herman is not feeding the latest Euphoria rumor cycle.
During Monday’s episode of Good Day New York, Herman, who appears in Season 3 as the neighbor of the characters played by Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, addressed speculation that Zendaya and Sweeney have been at odds while filming the HBO series.
“They really did,” Herman said when asked whether the cast got along. “And I’m not just saying that.”
She added that there was “no drama” on set, describing the atmosphere as focused rather than tense.
“Really, they’ve created this beautiful working relationship and everyone wants to do the work, to come in and do the job,” Herman said.
The rumor, and the reported context
The comments come after The Sun published a report alleging friction between Zendaya, 29, and Sweeney, 28. An unnamed insider told the outlet, “There will be a sigh of relief when Euphoria is over and they can go their separate ways. But they both have decades left in Hollywood and this rivalry will inevitably run and run.”
That claim remains attributed to The Sun’s unnamed source. Herman’s on-record comments offered a different view from the set.
She also pointed out a practical detail that tends to get lost once fandom starts doing forensic work on cast photos: Zendaya and Sweeney are not necessarily filming together.
“To be fair, when I was there, they’re not sharing scenes,” Herman said. “Their storylines are very separate, you’re shooting on different days and stuff.”
That matters because Sweeney’s absence from a Season 3 cast photo had also prompted speculation. Page Six reported at the time that a source said Sweeney was filming a scene when the group shot was taken.
A separate source told Page Six there was no bad blood between the actresses, saying, “They’re both in high demand and working continuously.”
Both stars have crowded calendars
The scheduling point is not exactly a stretch. Zendaya, who plays Rue on Euphoria, has been promoting her A24 film The Drama and has three other movies due this year: The Odyssey, Dune: Part Three and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Sweeney, who plays Cassie, spent the final months of 2025 promoting the thriller The Housemaid. The White Lotus alum has also recently launched her lingerie brand, SYRN.
In other words, the cleanest confirmed version of events is less operatic than the rumor version: two busy actors, separate storylines, different shoot days and a cast member saying the set was professional.
