Dwayne Johnson’s starry Thursday in Hollywood ended with a less glamorous accessory: a traffic ticket.

The actor, known almost everywhere as “The Rock,” was reportedly pulled over by police after attending Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci’s joint Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. According to TMZ, the stop was over tinted windows.

A polished exit, then a traffic stop

Johnson had been in Hollywood to support Blunt and Tucci at the ceremony, where he also delivered remarks honoring Blunt. After the event, TMZ reported that police stopped his vehicle in connection with window tinting.

Photos published with the report showed Johnson handling the situation calmly. He was seen speaking with the officer, getting out of the car, and cooperating during the stop. At one point, he appeared to shake the officer’s hand.

He was dressed for the ceremony in a crisp white shirt and cream trousers, which is one way to make even a roadside ticket look unusually styled.

Representatives for Johnson and the Los Angeles Police Department were not immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Johnson’s long-running screen connection with Emily Blunt

Johnson’s appearance at the ceremony was not random celebrity traffic. He and Blunt have worked together before, starring in Disney’s Jungle Cruise in 2021. They are also reuniting for The Smashing Machine, the 2025 film centered on MMA fighter Mark Kerr.

At the Walk of Fame event, Johnson joined a high-profile group of speakers that included Meryl Streep and Matt Damon.

Speaking about Blunt, Johnson said, “Every single day, knowing Emily, as many of us do, that is one grateful woman who will wake up feet on the ground, being grateful about every moment.”

He continued, “I feel like when you’re grateful about every moment, that then leads to the thing I think we all look for, which is joy and peace of mind.”

“And those are all the things I think that make up Emily and so much more,” he added.

Blunt, responding to the tributes, said, “It’s very difficult to sum up how meaningful this is to me and the juggernaut that showed up to speak about me has just blown my hair back.”

She added, “You guys and the great loves of my life, who are all here have made life such a deep privilege.”

So yes, the day still belonged to Blunt and Tucci. Johnson just managed to add a small post-ceremony plot twist on the way out.
