Channing Tatum has dismissed the burner Instagram account rumor linking him to snarky comments about his former fiancée Zoë Kravitz and her reported fiancé, Harry Styles. After several days of online investigation by people with apparently fewer films in production, Tatum responded on his Instagram Story on Monday night.

“Yo I truly can’t believe y’all think this is what I’m doing with my free time,” he wrote. “Fuckin hilarious.”

Why did fans suspect Channing Tatum?

The speculation focused on an Instagram account called @bidness_nonya. Fans noticed that it had left pointed comments on posts involving Kravitz and Styles.

Interest intensified after a screenshot allegedly showed Tatum as the account’s only follower. That was apparently enough evidence for some social media users to conclude that the Magic Mike star was operating a secret profile to comment on his ex’s relationship.

Tatum highlighted the rather large hole in that theory.

“Also, why would I follow a burner account if I didn’t want people to connect me to it?” he wrote. “Wtf come on. But if I really need to say it, I only have one IG account @channingtatum.”

Another theory suggested that @bidness_nonya may once have been a Tatum fan account that later changed its username. That could explain why he followed it without requiring the actor to run a remarkably easy-to-trace covert operation.

What happened between Tatum and Zoë Kravitz?

Tatum and Kravitz began dating in 2021 after working together on her directorial debut, Blink Twice. They became engaged in 2023 but ended their relationship the following year.

Kravitz was first romantically linked to Styles in August 2025. Reports in April 2026 said the couple had become engaged.

Tatum did not address their relationship beyond denying that he was behind the account. His response remained focused on the claim that he had created an alternate Instagram profile to leave hostile comments.

What is keeping Tatum busy?

The actor’s schedule supports his argument that he may have more pressing uses for his time. He has been promoting the critically acclaimed independent film Josephine, which is scheduled to reach cinemas on November 20.

He will also return as Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday, due in December. Tatum previously played the character in Deadpool & Wolverine, finally bringing to the screen a role he had been attached to for years.

Meanwhile, he is in production on Isle of Man, a drama centred on the annual motorcycle racing event. Tatum is also producing the project alongside Brad Pitt.

None of that proves an actor could not maintain a secret Instagram account. It does, however, make the proposed hobby look unusually inefficient, especially when the account allegedly followed him back to the scene of the crime.
