Amanda Conner is speaking out about her arrest three days after the Teen Mom alum was taken into custody in Tennessee.
Conner, who is married to Ryan Edwards and shares a 14-month-old daughter with him, posted a TikTok video on May 27 responding to her May 24 arrest. She was charged with driving under the influence, child abuse/neglect, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
What Amanda Conner said about her relapse
Conner, 35, did not try to soften what happened. In the video, she said plainly that she had relapsed after years of working on her sobriety.
“I relapsed, I f--ked up,” she said. “After three years, of me busting my ass and getting my life together, I relapsed. I think I got too comfortable, let my guard down and it happened.”
She added that the experience had reminded her how unforgiving addiction can be, regardless of how much progress someone believes they have made.
“I do know addiction does not care how long you’ve been clean, how much you’ve built, it doesn’t care how many people believed in you, it doesn’t care about none of that,” Conner said.
It was not a polished apology tour. It was uncomfortable, direct, and clearly meant to get ahead of the public judgment already forming around the case, because reality television audiences are not known for waiting quietly in the lobby.
She apologized to supporters and family
Conner also apologized to the people who have followed and supported her sobriety.
“You all ride so hard for me and I appreciate the f--k out of that,” she said. “I have let you all down and I’ve let my family down.”
She said saying it out loud made the situation feel even more painful and humiliating.
“Just saying that out loud, just letting it be known, it’s just so uncomfortable, it’s shameful, I’m disappointed, I feel guilty, scared,” she continued. “I’m not perfect. I’ve never come to be perfect.”
Conner and Edwards married in September. Edwards is known to viewers from Teen Mom, where his own personal struggles have played out over the years. Conner’s message, though, focused on her own accountability and the immediate fallout from the arrest.
Conner says she is facing the consequences
In the TikTok, Conner said she was already dealing with the legal aftermath and was getting ready to meet with a lawyer.
She also told followers she plans to show what happens next, including the harder parts of recovering after a relapse.
“I’m a fighter, and I’m stubborn as f--k,” she said. “And I’m not gonna let relapse be my whole story. I’m gonna bring y’all along on my journey to recovery. And it’s not gonna be fun, it’s not gonna be pretty. It’s gonna be real, it’s gonna be raw, and it’s gonna be hard.”
Conner framed the coming weeks as part of a larger recovery process, not a neat public reset.
“So, that’s what’s gonna be the next episode,” she said. “It’s gonna be real, authentic, raw of what happens, in my life, when you relapse and do stupid s--t. And we’re not gonna give up. We’re gonna fight, and we’re gonna get back on track.”
