Less than a month after Harry Styles reportedly proposed to Zoë Kravitz with a diamond ring estimated at $500,000, the couple’s next steps are already being mapped out, according to sources cited by Page Six.
The pairing surprised plenty of watchers by getting engaged after roughly eight months together. But insiders say the relationship is not being treated like a trial run. Wedding plans are reportedly moving quickly, and the couple may not stop at one ceremony.
New York, London, and the Lenny factor
A source close to the Kravitz family told Page Six that New York is likely to matter because of Zoë’s father, Lenny Kravitz.
“I know for a fact Zoë would want to do something in New York because of her dad, so if anything it’s going to be two weddings,” the source said.
The insider said Lenny still lives downtown in Manhattan, and floated Fouquet’s Hotel as a possible setting. If the couple does split the celebration across two cities, the plan would reportedly be one wedding in London and one in New York.
“She would do downtown over Brooklyn,” the source added, noting that Zoë has an apartment in Brooklyn, “because he likes downtown and she would do that for him.”
The same source said Styles, who recently released the single “American Girls,” has already made a strong impression on Lenny, best known, among many other things, for “American Woman.”
“I know Zoë put together the meeting with Harry and her father a while ago. They did a whole meet-and-greet. Obviously, Lenny loves Harry,” the insider said.
The source also described Lenny’s approval as unusually important in Zoë’s romantic life.
“One thing about Zoë, she will date whoever she wants, but if they’re not getting along with her dad, eventually they’re going to fall to the side.”
Why Styles is not expected at the Met Gala
Kravitz, 37, is already in New York because she is on the host committee for Monday’s Met Gala. There has been speculation that Styles, 32, might appear as her guest, but insiders told Page Six he is not expected to attend.
Styles has not been to the Met Gala since 2019, when he served as a co-chair. Sources also noted that the singer is not especially drawn to major public-facing events, which is not a shocking position for someone whose private life has been treated like a group project for years.
Instead, Kravitz is expected to walk the carpet with her close friend Anthony Vaccarello, the creative chief of YSL.
Styles also has work looming. He is preparing to launch his worldwide “Together Together” tour in support of his new album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.” The tour begins in Amsterdam on May 16 and is set to include a 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden in New York later in the summer.
A romance that started quietly in Italy
Before the engagement headlines, the couple had a relatively private stretch in Italy. Styles moved to Rome during a two-year break after his lengthy “Love On Tour” ended in July 2023.
The “Aperture” singer and the “Blink Twice” actress were first seen together in August last year, walking arm in arm in Rome. That same month, they were also spotted kissing in London, with The Sun describing their public displays of affection as “like teenagers.” At the time, some insiders assumed it was a fling.
By September 2025, Page Six was hearing a different version. A source said the relationship had gone from “0 to 60,” adding, “Harry wouldn’t have gone public with Zoë if it wasn’t anything.”
“This is the happiest Harry has ever been, he’s just having a great time,” the source said then, describing the “Adore You” singer’s feelings for the “Big Little Lies” star.
Engagement speculation intensified in April, when Kravitz was photographed kissing Styles while wearing a yellow-gold, bezel-set, cushion-cut diamond. The ring was estimated to be worth at least $500,000.
Baby talk is reportedly already happening
People around Styles told Page Six last month that he and Kravitz may want children sooner rather than later.
“He really wants a baby,” a source said in January. “He’s been telling his friends that.”
Styles has also spoken publicly about how becoming an uncle shifted his perspective. During his hiatus, his sister Gemma welcomed her first daughter.
“My sister had a baby and at any other time in my life I would have missed a lot of that. To be there to get to know my niece as she’s growing up, it’s so obvious to me what’s real,” he told the UK’s Sunday Times in February.
In the same interview, Styles said time in Italy, drinking coffee, running marathons, and becoming an uncle helped him slow down after years of intense touring and global attention.
“When I was in Rome, the city just taught me how to slow down. I was so used to everything moving so quickly, but then I remember going to a café and having a coffee and thinking, ‘I don’t remember the last time I sat down and had a coffee,’” he said.
Kravitz’s life after Channing Tatum
Kravitz had largely been single since ending her engagement to Channing Tatum in October 2024 after three years together.
A source close to the Kravitz family told Page Six the two had simply grown apart.
“The people she dates she’s serious about them. But she’s definitely more of the creative free spirit, ‘I know what I want.’ Whereas he was more regimented,” the source said.
After Kravitz wrapped “Caught Stealing,” she and co-star Austin Butler briefly sparked romance rumors when they were seen kissing on set in October 2024. Sources later played that down as nothing serious.
Still, Kravitz’s engagement to Styles reportedly surprised Tatum. A source told Page Six last week that the “21 Jump Street” star was caught off guard by the news.
Around the same time, Tatum shared an emotional poem on social media that read in part: “My brain and heart divorced / a decade ago / about who was to blame about how big of a mess I have become / Eventually, they couldn’t be in the same room together.”
“He was surprised when he heard the news, like anyone would be,” the insider said. “If Zoë is happy, he’s happy for her.”
Before Tatum, Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman for 18 months, from 2019 to 2021. The reason for their split was never made public, though Kravitz later described the ending as “sad” but “beautiful” and said they remained on good terms.
Styles has been here before, but not quite like this
Styles’ dating life has long been a public fixation, from his early One Direction superstardom to high-profile links with Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner.
His most scrutinized relationship was likely his two-year romance with Olivia Wilde, 42, who directed him in the 2022 film “Don’t Worry Darling.” At the time, Wilde was also going through a public split from Jason Sudeikis, 50, with whom she shares two children.
Page Six previously reported allegations that Styles had a fling with co-star Florence Pugh before becoming involved with Wilde on set. A source claimed at the time that tensions grew after Wilde cast Styles and began a relationship with him while her split from Sudeikis was unfolding. The fallout became very public, with Pugh limiting her promotional duties for the film and declining to pose with Wilde.
Styles and Wilde split in 2022, with distance and changing priorities cited as factors.
Styles told Rolling Stone in 2017 that he had little interest in publicly managing the storylines around his personal life.
“I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively,” he said. “There’s always going to be a version of a narrative, I just decided I wasn’t going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way.”
For now, the Kravitz family source says this relationship works because Kravitz and Styles appear to move at a similar speed.
“Zoë is very free spirited. She’s very in her own kind of style, she’s eccentric. She’s her own person. She loves doing her own thing. Harry doesn’t try to stop her.”
