According to NBC News, a guest at the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding said the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was the more visibly emotional half of the couple during their Friday ceremony at Madison Square Garden. So yes, in the great public audit of celebrity tears, the groom apparently logged more activity.
“You would think the bride would be the one crying more,” the guest told NBC News on Sunday, adding that “it was actually [Kelce] that was more emotional.”
What guests reportedly saw during the vows
NBC News also reported, citing insiders, that the couple’s vows moved many of the more than 1,000 guests to tears. Swift’s vows reportedly included singing, which is not exactly a shocking plot twist, but still seems to have worked on the room.
People reported that the vow portion of the ceremony lasted about 20 minutes. Guests were reportedly given embroidered handkerchiefs, a detail that suggests the event planners knew exactly what type of evening they were staging.
The Daily Mail, citing another purported guest, reported that Kelce seemed “nervous” at the altar but “kept it together” while delivering his vows.
