Stanley Tucci’s food show is leaving Italy behind for the United Kingdom, at least for its next production. The actor and host told Variety that he is already filming in the country where he has lived for nearly 15 years. For Tucci, who is approaching 66 and trying to spend more time at home without stepping away from work, the move is both a creative expansion and a practical one.

There is one important reservation. National Geographic, Disney+, BBC Studios and Tucci’s SALT Productions have not officially announced a UK season, title, episode count, locations or release date. Variety is currently the only identified outlet reporting the production, based on Tucci’s own comments.

That leaves the franchise in an unusual position. Its identity has been built around Italy, but its host now wants to apply the same close attention to British food, farming and regional traditions.
