Scary Movie 6 is bringing the old gang back together, which is either comforting or alarming depending on your tolerance for Ghostface jokes. The sixth film in the parody franchise arrives in theaters on June 5, with Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris and Regina Hall returning 26 years after the original film made the horror clichés it gleefully fed on.

The Los Angeles premiere on June 3 also brought a quieter family moment: Faris’ 13-year-old son, Jack, made a rare public appearance alongside the rollout for the film. For a franchise built on loud gags and fake blood, that was the quiet part.

Why the Original Cast Came Back

Marlon Wayans, who wrote and produced the first, second and sixth Scary Movie films with Shawn Wayans, said the reunion carried real nostalgia.
