Sue Jacquot, the 81-year-old creator known on Twitch as GrammaCrackers, became a Minecraft streamer swatted during a livestream meant to raise money for her 17-year-old grandson’s cancer treatment. The incident happened in the early hours of May 19, interrupting a marathon challenge that had already been running for more than 15 straight days.

The goal was simple enough, at least in theory: keep streaming until she beats Minecraft, while directing attention and donations toward her grandson’s medical care. Then someone decided that what this situation needed was a false emergency call and a heavily armed police response. A choice, certainly.

Why GrammaCrackers was streaming for days

According to reporting by TheGamer, Jacquot began making Twitch streams and YouTube content in October 2025. She started with Minecraft, then expanded into other games including Rocket League and Roblox. Last month, she also earned her first Victory Royale in Fortnite, a milestone many younger players would not discuss with humility.
