What Brown shared from her summer

The photo appeared in a carousel of images from Brown’s summer so far. Alongside the mother-daughter moment, the 22-year-old actor included a picture of herself on the way to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding.

Brown captioned the post, “best&t summer yet,” a reference to the newlyweds’ marriage announcement being displayed on screens outside New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

It was a brief post, but it stood out because Brown and Bongiovi, 24, have shared very little about their daughter since announcing her arrival. The couple, who married in 2024, have made privacy a central part of how they are approaching parenthood.

Why the couple has kept their daughter private

Brown and Bongiovi announced in August 2025 that they had welcomed their daughter through adoption.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” they wrote at the time. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

They have largely followed through on that promise. Brown, best known for Stranger Things and Enola Holmes, and Bongiovi, a model and the son of Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi, have not publicly shared their daughter’s name or shown her face.

Brown explained that choice in a November interview with British Vogue, saying the decision is not about secrecy for its own sake, but about giving her child control over her own life story.

“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” Brown said. “It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly.”

How Brown talks about motherhood and adoption

Brown also told British Vogue that if her daughter later chooses to step into public life, she and Bongiovi would support that decision.

“If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support,” she said. “But right now, as she’s so little—as her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that.”

That approach appears to extend to any future children the couple may have. Brown recently said on the June 11 episode of Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast that she and Bongiovi hope to grow their family.

“Hopefully one day that's in my future,” Brown said. “But for me, adoption was always a part of my future. Adoption is love. Adoption is forever.”

For now, Brown’s latest post keeps the balance exactly where she seems to want it: a small family update, a protected child, and just enough hair to send the internet briefly into inspection mode.
