Katie Price says her husband, Lee Andrews, is missing in Dubai after he tried to cross the border to catch a flight to see her. The British television personality said she last heard from him on May 13, and by May 16, she was publicly asking for help finding him.
Price, 47, first told Instagram followers that Andrews was stepping away from social media because of criticism surrounding their marriage. In a YouTube video posted days later, she said that was not the full story.
“The truth is Lee has been missing for three days,” she said.
What Katie Price says happened before he disappeared
Price, known to many viewers from Celebrity Big Brother UK, said Andrews, 43, was attempting to travel through the Dubai border when communication with him abruptly stopped.
“The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10 o'clock,” she said. “He was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me.”
She said the situation changed during what she described as an “unsettling” FaceTime call from Andrews shortly after that.
According to Price, Andrews appeared on the call wearing a hood and told her he had been taken.
“He had a hood on and he said, 'I've just been captured, arrested,'” she recalled. “I can't remember the exact word he said, but he had ties around his hand, not handcuffs, and a hood, and he said, 'Look, they're coming back for me. They're coming back for me.'”
Price said the call and his location then cut off at 10:03.
“That is the last FaceTime call I had with him,” she said.
Authorities have been contacted, Price says
Price said she and Andrews' family have contacted multiple authorities while trying to locate him, including:
- Police
- The embassy
- The Criminal Investigation Department of the Dubai Police
So far, she said, those efforts have not produced answers. Price said no one has been able to find Andrews in any prison, police station, or official location in Dubai.
“He's definitely a missing person now,” she said. “So, now no one can find him in any prison, police station, anything, anywhere in Dubai.”
E! News reported that it had contacted Price’s representative and local authorities for comment, but had not received a response.
The lack of information is, obviously, not the sort of silence anyone wants when a loved one has vanished abroad. Price’s account remains her version of events, but the concern she described is clear.
Price asks for privacy and help finding Andrews
Price said she has been left “feeling really deflated” as the search continues.
“It’s a really worrying time for me,” she said. “Obviously, everyone has their thoughts on everything. But at the end of the day, I’m married to Lee, he is my husband and I’m just really worried about him.”
She also addressed media attention around the case, asking for space while also urging people to assist if they can.
“I wish the press would respect my privacy or can they help try and find him,” she said. “Help me find where my husband is.”
For Price, the public interest around her marriage has now collided with something far more serious: a missing person case, an unanswered final call, and a family waiting for basic information.
