Katie Price’s Instagram appeared to disappear on May 28, just hours after she said she had finally heard from her missing husband, Lee Andrews, and claimed he was being held in a Dubai jail on suspicion of espionage.
Anyone searching for the former glamour model’s account was met with an error message saying the “profile isn’t available.” The notice added: “The link may be broken or the profile may have been removed,” which naturally gave the internet a fresh item to inspect under bright lights.
Price, 48, has not publicly explained whether she removed the account herself, whether it was deactivated, or whether something else happened.
What Katie Price said about Lee Andrews
The account disappearance came after Price said she had managed to speak to Andrews, who is in his early 40s, for the first time since he went silent.
According to Price, Andrews’ father helped arrange the call. She said it lasted around two minutes and that Andrews was at Al Awir jail in Dubai.
“I have found him. He is alive, and he is OK,” she said. “I told him how worried I had been and told him I loved him.”
She added: “It was very rushed but he said the authorities out there thought he was a spy.”
Andrews has not been heard from publicly in around two weeks, with updates coming through Price. The couple reportedly married in January.
The claims have fuelled more speculation
The situation has already attracted a heavy layer of online speculation, including claims from some observers that Andrews may have been misleading Price. Price has denied suggestions that she is involved in any kind of setup.
The confusion has not been helped by reports that Andrews appeared to be active online while supposedly missing, including alleged activity on Facebook and Instagram, where he was said to have followed accounts including one called “Biker Babe.”
Price previously appeared distressed when describing what she said was their last conversation before the latest call. She claimed Andrews told her he had been tied up in a van and was being taken to a “black site.”
More recently, however, she was seen making light of the situation in a short video with Olivia Attwood, while also promoting CBD oil as a way to stay calm during the ongoing drama. Subtle, it was not.
Lee Andrews’ ex has spoken out
Andrews’ former girlfriend, Alana Percival, has been one of his most vocal critics since Price’s update.
Posting on Instagram Stories, Percival rejected the claim that Andrews had been arrested for spying and described him as delusional.
“Lee being arrested for being a spy… honestly, that man is delusional. Another lie,” she wrote.
Percival, who said Andrews proposed to her in the same way he later proposed to Price weeks afterward, called him a “complete fantasist” and accused him of making “a complete fool of himself and Kate.”
She also made a series of serious allegations about his behaviour. Those claims remain unverified, and Andrews has not publicly responded.
Katie’s other accounts remain visible
While Price’s Instagram appears to have been deactivated or removed, her YouTube page remains live. That includes her podcast with her sister, Sophie Price.
In the video with Attwood, Price joked: “We’re missing something.”
Attwood replied: “Yeah, I have looked for him but…”
Price then added: “Well mine’s missing, so at the moment it doesn’t look good, does it?” before revealing the joke was that they were “missing our husbands.”
Metro reported that it had contacted Price’s team for comment. For now, the central facts remain limited: Price says Andrews is alive, in custody in Dubai, and accused of espionage, while her Instagram has disappeared without public explanation.
