Katie Price and Lee Andrews’ already turbulent marriage has taken another unlikely turn: Price has now sat down with one of his ex-partners, Dina Taji, after flying back to Dubai for answers about why her new husband is behind bars.
Price, 48, married Andrews in January after meeting him only days earlier. Since then, the relationship has produced a steady supply of allegations, denials, missing-person panic, and Dubai prison logistics. Not exactly the honeymoon brochure.
Why did Katie Price meet Dina Taji?
Dina Taji, a Palestinian-born personal trainer, dated Andrews for more than three years. According to reports, she later discovered that he had forged her signature to take out a £200,000 mortgage in her name.
Taji is said to have found out only when the mortgage company contacted her. Andrews was then reported to the authorities, served time in Dubai’s Al Awir central prison, and was later given a travel ban last year.
Andrews has repeatedly denied being a scammer and initially denied having a travel ban, claiming he could leave Dubai. Price later told her followers that he does have one, while adding that someone can “get one for anything.” “That did not exactly clear things up.”
Unlike another of Andrews’ exes, Alana Percival, Taji had not spoken publicly in detail about her relationship with him. Percival has been far more outspoken, warning Price about Andrews’ alleged “lies” and urging her to “run for the hills.”
Taji did, however, agree to meet Price after the reality star reached out.
What did Dina Taji say to Katie Price?
Price has teased a podcast episode recorded with Taji shortly before she returned to the UK. “In the clip, Taji explained why she had stayed out of the public pile-on around Andrews.”
“I was basically dating Lee, unfortunately, for three-and-a-half years, so I know I’ll have probably seen some of my pictures that showed up on social media,” Taji said.
“But to be honest with you, I really didn’t care about responding to reporters and everyone that was messaging me, I mean, just out of respect.”
Taji said that if she had anything to share with Price, she wanted to do it directly.
“If there was anything I wanted to share and kind of warn her, if anything, it would be woman-to-woman, you know? Face-to-face,” she said. “I don’t care about coming on here [online] and all this noise that’s happening.”
Price then said that “women stick together,” adding that she had originally gone to Taji because of one of the cases involving Andrews.
“I came to Dina about one of the cases because I thought, ‘Is Dina involved?’” Price said.
“Then we had a cup of tea, as girls do; we’ve had a long chat, and that’s for us to know and you to find out in the future.”
The clip ended with the two women hugging, with Price saying she was “glad” they had met.
Where is Lee Andrews now?
Andrews went missing on May 13 after failing once again to travel to the UK. Price had been expecting him to join her for what was supposed to be their first joint television interview, but she ended up facing it alone.
At first, she said she feared he had been kidnapped and launched a frantic search for him. Andrews also claimed he had been abducted. It later emerged that he had been arrested and detained at Al Awir central prison over alleged fraud.
Price flew back to the United Arab Emirates to find out what was happening. Once there, she was reportedly told Andrews needed to pay £150,000 to secure his release.
She has visited the prison several times this week, though she is not believed to have seen him in person. Updating fans, Price said she had spoken to Andrews by phone after arriving in Dubai with her videographer.
According to Price, Andrews gave her “permission to get all his phones” and belongings, which she collected.
“I still need to hear back from his lawyer if I can get a visit to see him,” she said, adding that “time is running out” because she was due to leave for the UK on Friday.
Will Katie Price pay for his release?
Andrews has reportedly assured Price that he can afford the six-figure sum needed for his release. But Price is said to have come to the view that the only realistic way he leaves prison is if she pays it herself.
She is not expected to do that. A source close to Price told the Daily Mail that she has decided paying the money would be “reckless.”
“The same source said Price is starting to accept that she may have to move on from her fourth husband.”
“Katie is in pieces. To the outside world, she wants to keep up the bravado. But inside, she can’t believe how Lee has made her look,” the source said.
“He’s pulled the wool over lots of people’s eyes, especially women. And now, as it’s all being played out in the public eye, she’s at the forefront of the con.”
The insider described the prison holding Andrews as a “hellhole” and said he is unlikely to be released “anytime soon” unless someone else pays “tens of thousands of pounds.”
“And whether, as a former bankrupt, Katie could come up with the money even if she wanted to is a big question,” the source added.
“It’s looking like Lee’s conman lifestyle has finally caught up with him. And the last place you would want to be locked up is in Dubai.”
Price is said to be “confused,” but reports now suggest she may be heading for divorce court again.
What has Lee Andrews been accused of?
“Since Price introduced Andrews as her new partner, questions have followed.” He has denied being a scammer, but multiple allegations have surfaced in a short period.
Claims about business success
When Price named Andrews as her partner, he presented himself online as the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an “investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness.”
His profile, which had 111,000 followers, featured gym photos, luxury Dubai imagery, and apparent encounters with high-profile figures including Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian.
Those claims later came under scrutiny. Reports said there was no meaningful information about his company on its website, while the celebrity images appeared to be AI-generated.
A Dubai travel ban
After Price and Andrews married in Dubai, she returned to the UK, but he did not join her.
That absence was linked to reports that he had previously served time at Al Awir central prison over suspected fraud, connected to the alleged £200,000 mortgage taken out in Taji’s name without her knowledge.
The UAE can prevent people facing criminal investigations from leaving the country. Andrews denied he was unable to travel and suggested there may have been “wrong details.” Price later confirmed he was subject to a travel ban, without giving the reason.
A pregnancy tease
Only weeks into the relationship, Price and Andrews teased that they might be expecting a child together.
Price said she was “having his child,” while Andrews wrote that they were a “perfect couple soon to be triple.” At one point, Price encouraged followers to pay £2.99 to find out the result of a pregnancy test.
She later confirmed she was not pregnant.
Allegations involving other women
Soon after Price and Andrews married, two of his ex-partners accused him of being a “liar, narcissist and manipulator.”
Two months later, reports claimed Andrews had been asking women for money in the weeks before marrying Price. Alana Percival later posted on Instagram calling him the “Tinder Swindler” and claimed several women had contacted her to say he had also tried to scam them.
The disappearance before the prison revelation
When Andrews failed to return to the UK, Price said she was worried he had been kidnapped and reported him missing.
Reports later claimed he had actually “ghosted” her, was staying in a run-down villa in Dubai, and was using a burner phone while trying to work out a way out of the situation.
That situation has now landed squarely in public view, with Price speaking to his ex, his lawyer, and her followers while deciding whether there is anything left to salvage.
