Lee Andrews released from prison in Dubai isn't the clean ending Katie Price’s circle may have wanted. The businessman, who married the reality TV personality in January after reportedly knowing her for only days, is said to be out of Al Awir prison after a second spell behind bars in a matter of weeks.
A source told The Sun: “Lee Andrews has today been released from Al Awir prison.”
They added: “He was set free this afternoon following a short stint behind bars.”
The latest development follows reports that Andrews had been arrested around 10 days earlier and taken to Lahab police station, in the desert outside Dubai. He was allegedly trying to raise £120,000 to pay a fine, with claims also circulating that he had suggested selling a sex tape featuring himself and Price for a “pretty penny.” Price later denied that any such tape exists.
Why Lee Andrews was reportedly back in custody
The circumstances around Andrews’ latest detention remain heavily contested, as they often seem to be in this story. Reports said he spent time at Al Awir prison after being taken into custody in Dubai earlier this month.
His release does not appear to mean the wider legal situation is over. Andrews has previously been said to be subject to a travel ban, something he repeatedly denied until Price later confirmed he did have one. She did not disclose its terms.
Despite that reported restriction, Andrews is now said to be hoping to travel to the UK to be with Price. He has not yet met her family or her children, which is a very big gap for a marriage that has already generated enough paperwork, public statements and online theories to keep several group chats alive.
The Sun’s source suggested the reunion may still be in doubt, saying: “Whether poor Katie will be there to greet him on the other side remains to be seen.”
They added: “Right now, she is furious with it all and fed up with all the drama and white noise her husband is bringing.”
His father is reportedly still behind bars
While Andrews has reportedly been released, his father, Peter Andrews, is said to remain in custody.
The same source told The Sun: “His dad, Pete, who has been caught up in Lee’s misdemeanours, remains behind bars.”
Katie Price’s father-in-law was allegedly arrested on separate fraud charges after being reported by a third party. The source article did not provide further detail on the nature of those allegations.
The family angle has made an already strained situation even messier. Price, 48, has stood by Andrews through a series of claims, denials and legal complications, but reports now suggest her patience is wearing thin.
Her loved ones are also said to be desperate for the relationship to end and for her to “see sense.” That phrase has followed Price through more than one public relationship, but the current situation has become unusually serious because it involves prison stays, court documents and alleged debts, not just awkward television interviews.
The legal claims that preceded his latest release
Andrews’ legal troubles reportedly go back to last autumn. He is said to have first spent time in jail after allegedly taking out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-girlfriend’s name without her knowledge.
After that, reports said he was placed under a travel ban. Andrews denied being under such a restriction and repeatedly appeared to suggest he was preparing to travel to England. Price later confirmed he did, in fact, have a travel ban, though she did not spell out the conditions attached to it.
In May, the situation spilled further into public view when Andrews disappeared from contact. Price said she feared he had been kidnapped after he stopped replying to her messages. His family reported him as a missing person, while online sleuths began trying to work out where he was.
Price also contacted authorities in the United Arab Emirates and publicly pleaded for her husband’s safe return. Reports later said Andrews was in jail.
Court documents reportedly showed two outstanding legal cases against him:
- An alleged £54,000 debt connected to a rental car company
- A separate claim for around £15,000 in unpaid legal fees
Andrews has denied wrongdoing and any criminal activity.
What Lee Andrews has said about the allegations
Andrews has been accused by former partners of scamming them and has been described by them as a “love-bomber” and “narcissist.” He has rejected those characterisations and denied criminal conduct.
He has also maintained that his May 2026 arrest was connected to spying allegations. According to his account, he was “abducted” and “held at gunpoint” before being taken to a “black site.” Those claims have not been independently verified in the source reporting.
The latest arrest, meanwhile, sparked fresh speculation because of the alleged £120,000 fine and the reported suggestion that an intimate video with Price could be sold to raise money.
Price addressed that specific claim over the weekend in a statement posted to her Instagram Story. She denied that she and Andrews had made a sex tape and said the allegation was false.
She wrote: “I feel incredibly upset, abused and humiliated that such serious and false allegations have been shared publicly without any factual basis.”
She did not directly address the alleged fraud charges in that statement.
Where Katie Price stands now
Price has largely kept quiet about Andrews’ latest arrest, aside from the Instagram statement and a separate clarification about the £2,000 dog the couple bought together. She said the dog was “happy and healthy.”
Days later, Dubai-based Dina Taji, Andrews’ former girlfriend, claimed she had to “rescue” the male Pomsky at her animal shelter.
Taji has also been part of another key moment in the couple’s recent timeline. After Price and Andrews reunited last month, Price said she planned to question him about the accusations she had heard. She said her “eyes” had been opened after meeting Taji, who had set out her “evidence.”
Price suggested that if she did not “like the answers” Andrews gave her, she would walk away.
That still has not happened. Price remains married to Andrews, her fourth husband, though reports now suggest she is increasingly frustrated by the disruption surrounding him.
Representatives for Katie Price have been contacted for comment.
