Around reports of tension on the Paramount+ series, Helen Mirren supports Tom Hardy with a very direct message to her MobLand co-star.
Mirren posted a photo of Hardy on social media Thursday and wrote, “Love you now and always.” It was brief, pointed, and not exactly subtle, which is sometimes the cleanest way to handle a messy entertainment story.
What the set reports claimed
The post followed a report alleging Hardy had been difficult to work with during Season 2 of the Paramount+ hit. According to that report, Hardy was allegedly holed up in his trailer while Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and other cast and crew members were left waiting.
Mirren’s public message suggests she is not distancing herself from Hardy, at least not publicly. If there were on-set frustrations, her response does not read like someone eager to add fuel to the production-drama machine.
Why the firing rumors are complicated
Hardy has also been the subject of rumors claiming he has been fired from MobLand. That is where the story gets less tidy.
Paramount has not officially renewed the series for a third season, so talk of Hardy being removed from a future season is hard to pin down. No confirmed renewal means no confirmed next chapter, which makes the firing chatter more rumor than settled fact for now.
For viewers, the main thing for viewers is simple: Mirren has made her support for Hardy public, the reported set tension remains just that, and the future of MobLand still depends on Paramount making its next move.
