Chris Brown Welcomes Fourth Child, His First Baby With Jada Wallace

The baby news arrives a little more than a week before Brown’s 37th birthday on May 5.

Brown, who previously dated Rihanna and Karrueche Tran, has spoken in the past about how fatherhood changed his daily life and his perspective. During a 2015 appearance on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, he described co-parenting as a major adjustment, and a positive one.

“I have a co-parenting job that’s pretty amazing,” he said at the time, “but learning how to be a dad, especially learning how to take care of somebody else, I barely know how to brush my teeth in the morning!”

He added, “It’s actually great. It’s very humbling. It’s very calming. I think I was a lot rambunctious, very hyper as a kid.”

What he has said about fatherhood

Brown has also been candid about seeing parts of himself in his eldest daughter, Royalty. In a 2015 interview with HOT 97, he laughed while calling her “definitely my daughter,” noting that he takes “every precaution” as she runs around and explores.

“She’s so active,” he said. “Soon as she hear music, she dances, she be singing around the house.”

He continued, “She looks exactly like me, so when I look at her I’m like, ‘Man, this is crazy.’ It’s amazing. There’s no other feeling like it.”

Now, with a newborn son in the mix, Brown’s household has one more tiny person setting the schedule. Sleep, as ever, remains the least glamorous celebrity perk.
