Bunnie XO made her Jelly Roll marriage the punchline on Thursday’s episode of her podcast, “Dumb Blonde,” after reading a direct message she said came from a man currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.
According to TMZ, the message came from a would-be suitor hoping to take her out once he gets released. The setup was already ridiculous. Then Bunnie used it to make a pointed joke about her estranged husband.

During the episode, Bunnie discussed the prison DM with friends, who suggested the man may simply be looking for intimacy after 10 years behind bars. That’s when she turned the conversation toward her own life, joking that her marriage to Jelly Roll had also felt like a decade in prison.
She appeared aware the comment might travel. Bunnie added that she expected to hear from Jelly Roll after the episode aired, joking, “I’m gonna get a phone call. J’s gonna call me and be like ‘bitch, what the f***?!’”
It was a sharp line, not a court filing. Still, in celebrity divorce discourse, a joke into a microphone is rarely just a joke for long. The internet tends to laminate these things immediately.
