The Zendaya and Tom Holland wedding story has gained another chapter, with the couple reportedly holding a second private ceremony near the actor’s childhood home. The celebration took place on Tuesday, 4 August, at Beaverbrook hotel in Surrey and is said to have cost about £500,000.
According to the Daily Mail, guests were not allowed to bring phones inside the venue. For two stars who have spent years trying to keep their relationship from becoming public property, the rule was less celebrity theatre than practical self-defence.
The gathering reportedly followed a smaller wedding earlier in 2026, which Holland later appeared to confirm with a deliberately brief answer.
Where did the reported ceremony take place?
Beaverbrook is a 370-acre luxury estate near Leatherhead, roughly 10 miles from where Holland grew up. The property was once the home of newspaper proprietor Lord Beaverbrook, who hosted prominent guests including Winston Churchill.
The hotel now has 56 rooms and suites, along with a well-known Japanese restaurant featuring dining spaces inspired by hot air balloons. Its size and privacy make it a plausible choice for a closely guarded celebrity event, particularly one where guests were reportedly expected to surrender their usual ability to document every table setting.
Neither Zendaya nor Holland had publicly commented on the Surrey celebration at the time of reporting. Beaverbrook had also been contacted for comment.
The reported event was described as the couple’s second ceremony. That would fit with several months of clues, comments and strategically limited confirmations suggesting they had already married privately.
What has Tom Holland said about their marriage?
Earlier in 2026, AI-generated images claiming to show Holland and Zendaya marrying at Lake Como spread widely online. The pictures were convincing enough to confuse some people close to the couple, though Zendaya publicly warned that they were fake.
During an interview with Esquire in June, Holland was asked whether he had needed to explain the fabricated images to family members. His response was concise: “No, because they were all there. That’s all you’ll get on that.”
The answer strongly suggested that a real ceremony had already taken place, even if he declined to provide details.
Holland also spoke about the emotional stability he finds in their relationship, describing it as a source of support amid the pressures of their careers.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he said.
He added that they understand each other’s lives in a way few other people could. “For me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
Why did Law Roach say fans had missed the wedding?
Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach had already indicated that the couple were married. Speaking to Access Hollywood at the Actor Awards in March 2026, he said: “The wedding has already happened,” adding, “You missed it. It’s very true.”
He gave Entertainment Tonight a similarly direct answer that evening: “Y’all missed it. The wedding’s over, sorry.”
Roach had predicted this level of secrecy well before those comments. During a May 2025 appearance on Complex’s Please Explain, he said Zendaya and Holland were determined to keep their relationship private.
“There won’t be a Vogue spread or there won’t be pictures of the wedding,” he said, adding that invited guests would respect the couple’s privacy. He also suggested Zendaya would wear “a really beautiful dress that no one gets to see.”
The reported phone ban at Beaverbrook would be entirely consistent with that approach. Their privacy has remained unusually firm by celebrity standards, particularly given that their relationship began inside one of Hollywood’s largest franchises.
How did Zendaya and Tom Holland meet?
Holland and Zendaya first met in 2016 during a chemistry read for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Producer Amy Pascal later said she warned both actors against dating, having watched previous Spider-Man leads become romantically involved off screen.
“I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture,” Pascal told The New York Times. “Don’t go there, just don’t. Try not to. It can just complicate things, you know?”
The warning did not prove especially durable.
Later in 2016, Holland and Zendaya began appearing on each other’s Instagram accounts. In July 2017, a source told People they were dating and had taken holidays together. Zendaya responded on X by joking that she had not been on holiday in years. Holland replied: “Does the press tour count?”
Zendaya continued to deny the rumours in August 2017, telling Variety that Holland was “literally one of my best friends.” She also noted that few people could understand the experience of navigating major international press tours at 20 years old.
When did their relationship become public?
Both actors were linked to other people before their relationship became public. Zendaya was photographed kissing her Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi in New York in February 2020, though that relationship appeared to end months later.
In May 2020, Holland was reported to be dating The Spanish Princess actor Nadia Parkes. They reportedly isolated together at his London home during the Covid-19 lockdown and separated sometime in 2021.
In July 2021, photographers captured Holland and Zendaya kissing in a car in Los Angeles. The pictures effectively made their relationship public without their consent.
Holland later told GQ that they “sort of felt robbed of our privacy.” Zendaya described the experience as “strange and weird and confusing and invasive.”
“When you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own,” she said.
That response helps explain why the couple have kept subsequent milestones closely controlled. In February 2022, Holland denied reports that they had bought a home together in South London. By September that year, Zendaya publicly referred to him as her boyfriend while discussing her Emmy win for Euphoria. The award made her the youngest person to win lead actress in a drama series twice.
When did engagement and wedding rumours begin?
In January 2025, Holland explained to Men’s Health why he generally avoids joining Zendaya on red carpets for her projects.
“It’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he said.
Engagement speculation intensified on 5 January 2025, when Zendaya wore a large diamond ring at the Golden Globes. TMZ later reported that Holland had proposed between Christmas and New Year at one of Zendaya’s family homes.
The signs continued over the following year:
- In February 2026, Zendaya was photographed wearing another ring that some fans interpreted as a wedding band.
- In March, Roach said the wedding had already taken place.
- The timing created some uncertainty because Zendaya was promoting The Drama, an A24 wedding-themed film co-starring Robert Pattinson. Some viewers suspected the ring and comments might be part of the promotion.
- In April, fabricated wedding photographs of Zendaya and Holland circulated online. Zendaya told Good Morning America: “AI is really getting advanced these days. Have an eye out. It definitely tricked some family and friends of mine.”
- In June, Holland’s Esquire answer indicated that relatives had attended a real wedding.
- On 4 August, the couple reportedly held the £500,000 celebration at Beaverbrook.
The couple have not released official photographs or a detailed account of either ceremony. That silence is consistent with what they have said for years: the relationship matters deeply to them precisely because parts of it still belong only to them.
