A rare Bruce Willis photo shared by Tallulah Willis offers a quiet look at the actor with his youngest daughter as his family continues to support him following his dementia diagnosis.
In the image posted on Sept. 28, Tallulah cradles and kisses her father’s head while he smiles. Her caption kept matters appropriately simple: “So cute!” No elaborate statement was required. Sometimes the picture handles the assignment.
Tallulah is the youngest of the three daughters Bruce shares with his former wife, Demi Moore. The family has released occasional glimpses of their time together since the Die Hard and The Sixth Sense star’s diagnosis, while largely keeping his day-to-day life private.
How Bruce Willis took part in Tallulah’s wedding
The affectionate photograph followed another significant family moment. Tallulah married Justin Acee on Aug. 8 at her family’s home in Idaho, with Bruce joining the intimate celebration.
One wedding image published by Vogue shows Tallulah standing between her father and her new husband against the Smoky Mountains. Wearing white and holding her bouquet, she rests her head on Bruce’s shoulder as he places an arm across her back. Justin stands on Bruce’s other side, holding his hand and watching the father-daughter moment.
Tallulah wore a custom Balenciaga gown for the ceremony. Before walking down the aisle, she got ready in her mother’s bedroom with Demi and her older sisters, Rumer Willis and Scout Willis.
The wedding centered heavily on family, which was not exactly subtle but was clearly the point. Bruce also has two younger daughters with his wife, Emma Heming Willis.
What surprise did Demi Moore arrange?
Demi had one more detail prepared for the ceremony. As Tallulah began walking down the aisle, a song written especially for the couple by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin played over the speakers.
“I couldn’t believe my ears as a single guitar riff filled the surrounding speakers, and Chris Martin’s soulful voice followed elegantly,” Tallulah told Vogue. “The first line of the song was, ‘Tallulah and Justin, walking down the aisle…’ My jaw dropped, as I have deeply loved Coldplay since I was in middle school.”
She credited her mother with organizing the surprise, calling it an “incredible” gift. Tallulah said she and Justin began laughing from happiness when they realized what was happening.
“I will never forget that moment,” she added.
Reflecting on the sunny ceremony with Justin, Bruce, Demi, her sisters and their friends, Tallulah said the day exceeded anything she had imagined.
“I am overwhelmed with gratitude and delight to begin this next chapter,” she said. “The wedding was more than my wildest dreams.”
