Ne-Yo's polyamorous relationship has become part of his public image, and according to him, not everyone in the business has handled that with grace. The singer, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, said he has lost out on work since publicly sharing his relationship with Cristina, also known as “Pretty Baby,” Arielle Hill, known as “Twin Flame,” and Moneii, known as “Phoenix Feather.”

What did Ne-Yo say about losing work?

Speaking with Tish Cyrus and Brandi Cyrus on the May 7 episode of their Sorry We’re Cyrus podcast, the 46-year-old artist said some deals have not moved forward because of discomfort around his personal life.

“The world is mad at the fact that I'm in a polyamorous relationship,” Ne-Yo said. “There are people upset. There's deals that I missed out on because they're like, ‘I don't know if we can get behind the whole polyamorous [thing].’ It’s like, ‘Okay what?’”
