According to media reports (TMZ), new details have emerged in Kim Scott’s DUI arrest, with Eminem’s ex-wife allegedly registering a blood alcohol concentration nearly three times Michigan’s legal limit after she was pulled over in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
According to a police report cited by media outlets Tuesday, Scott, 51, was stopped after allegedly hitting a parked car. Officers said she appeared unsteady, smelled of alcohol and was allegedly slurring her words. A breathalyzer test reportedly showed a .204 blood alcohol concentration, above Michigan’s .08 legal limit.
What police reportedly said happened in Mt. Clemens
According to media accounts of the police report, Scott allegedly told officers she had consumed alcohol several hours earlier. Officers said she cooperated as she was detained and taken to a police station.
At the station, according to those reports, Scott allegedly took additional breathalyzer tests that showed blood alcohol levels of .176 and .181. Those figures were lower than the first reported reading, but still well over the legal threshold. Not exactly the kind of math anyone wants attached to a police booking.
Media reports previously said the arrest happened Wednesday night. Scott was booked at the Macomb County Jail the following day and was later released.
The allegations have not been adjudicated in the latest case. The public record, for now, is the police report as described in media reports and the booking information that was reported.
The arrest followed another impaired driving case
Scott’s latest arrest came only days after she appeared in court on similar charges connected to a separate incident earlier this year.
On May 11, she pleaded no contest to driving while impaired and failing to report an accident stemming from a February crash. In that case, media reports said Scott allegedly struck another parked car while she was on her way to take her son, Parker, and his friends shopping.
According to those reports, neighbors alleged Scott then left the scene and later crashed into her own garage door after arriving home. She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries at the time.
Media reports also said bottles containing soda and alcohol were allegedly found in Scott’s car, and that bodycam footage showed her taking a breathalyzer test. Her sentencing in the February case is scheduled for next month.
Scott and Eminem’s long public history
Scott is widely known because of her past relationship with Marshall Mathers, the rapper professionally known as Eminem. The two married in 1999 and divorced two years later.
They remarried in January 2006, but the “Mockingbird” artist filed for divorce three months after that second wedding. Their relationship has been a public subject for decades, often whether anyone involved wanted it that way or not.
Scott and Eminem share three children: Hailie Jade Mathers, 30, Alaina Marie Scott, 33, and Stevie Laine Mathers, 24.
For all the familiarity around their names, the current story is narrower than the broader celebrity history. What is reported is that Scott faces another alleged impaired driving incident, with police documents cited in media reports describing high breathalyzer readings and a crash involving a parked vehicle. The rest belongs to court proceedings, not comment-section certainty.
