The reported Kim Kardashian mansion burglary ended with a 27-year-old man in custody on Sunday, but basic details remain disputed, including whether he entered the Hidden Hills home and whose car he allegedly drove.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were called shortly before 4 p.m. to the 24800 block of Long Valley Road after a security guard reported seeing a man loading items into a vehicle. Kardashian and her children were not at the estate, which is undergoing renovations, and nobody was injured.
The unidentified man was arrested on suspicion of burglary. No additional charges had been announced by early Monday, and authorities said the investigation was continuing.
What allegedly happened at the Hidden Hills estate?
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the suspect arrived at the property on Sunday afternoon and forced his way through a door. A security guard allegedly saw him removing items from the house and placing them in a vehicle.
The same sources said the man then got behind the wheel of a car belonging to one of Kardashian’s staff members and drove it around the neighborhood. The guard contacted the sheriff’s office while the suspected burglary was still in progress.
Deputies surrounded the estate and eventually arrested the man without further incident. Authorities said no weapons were found on him.
Deputy Tracy Koerner confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that officers made an arrest on suspicion of burglary and that “no one was home.” The Times also reported that a law enforcement source described the vehicle as one of Kardashian’s cars, rather than a staff member’s car.
So far, officials have not publicly identified the suspect or specified what property was allegedly taken. Apparently even a police response involving a celebrity mansion can leave the central inventory somewhat unfinished.

TMZ reported in 2023 that repeated intrusions around Kardashian properties had prompted the community to strengthen security measures. Despite those upgrades and the presence of private guards, the latest suspect allegedly reached Kardashian’s estate and remained there long enough to attract a guard’s attention while handling property and a vehicle.
The guard’s response appears to have been central to the arrest. Deputies arrived while the man was reportedly still at the property and took him into custody without injuries or further confrontation.
