Price later said the collaboration made her suspect something was happening between Bowers and Beckham. She also said the duet made her “feel like a nothing,” while describing Bowers as “the love of my life.” Contactmusic previously reported that Bowers’s friendship and professional relationship with Beckham became a source of tension between the couple.
The dispute soon moved into the celebrity press. Price made remarks about Beckham’s teeth, while Beckham was accused of singing “Who Let the Dogs Out” when Price entered the Manchester United players’ lounge.
That alleged incident has never been independently verified. Aftonbladet reported it in 2004 specifically as Price’s account, rather than as an established event. It has nevertheless survived for more than two decades, which is an impressive return on one unconfirmed insult.
Did Beckham’s duet cause the breakup?
More recent accounts complicate the old love-triangle version of events. In the Sky documentary Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, both Price and Bowers said their relationship ended after she went ahead with a topless calendar shoot despite his warning that doing so would end the relationship.
Bowers also said he “wasn’t equipped to deal with” the attention Price received from other men. That shifts the breakup away from a simple story about Beckham and towards a conflict over Price’s modelling career, jealousy and the pressures surrounding their relationship.
Beckham’s collaboration still mattered emotionally to Price, by her own account, but the documentary does not present it as the sole reason the couple split.
The song itself did rather well. Official Charts records show that “Out of Your Mind” entered the UK chart on August 26, 2000, peaked at No. 2 and spent 27 weeks in the Top 100. It unexpectedly returned to the sales and download charts in January 2026, proving that the music has aged more profitably than the argument around it.
Has Katie Price now ended the feud?
Price had already rejected the idea of an active dispute before sharing the T4 clip. On the July 30 episode of The Katie Price Show, which she hosts with her sister Sophie Price, she said: “I’ve got no issue with Victoria Beckham. If I saw her, I’d say hello.”
She added that there was no feud from her side, while allowing for the possibility that Beckham might feel differently. IBTimes UK similarly reported that Price viewed any remaining tension as potentially belonging to Beckham, not her.
There is one small complication. While promoting her own documentary in early July, Price called Beckham’s documentary “manufactured, edited, and boring” and said she would not watch it. Evidently, peace does not require positive reviews.
No public response from Beckham has been found following Price’s August 25 Instagram repost, and Price has made no further located comment. Her message therefore remains the latest development: no feud, no problem, and apparently no immediate plan for the two women to become best friends either.
The dispute’s persistence says less about their current relationship than about the commercial afterlife of early-2000s celebrity culture. A chart single resurfaced in 2026, an old interview circulated again, and a disagreement both women appear to have left behind was placed back on duty. The archive rarely retires quietly.
