Rumors about Joshua Jackson’s love life are getting a fresh summer airing after the actor was seen holding hands with model Olivia Burgess in New York City on June 7. The two were photographed walking through downtown Manhattan — which, by celebrity math, is rarely allowed to be just a walk, because apparently sidewalks now come with relationship status implications.
What happened during the New York outing
Jackson, best known to many viewers as Pacey Witter from Dawson’s Creek and more recently as a star of Doctor Odyssey, stepped out with Burgess in Soho for a low-key afternoon.
The pair kept things casual in warm-weather clothes. Jackson wore an all-white linen set, while Burgess chose gray Bermuda shorts, a black camisole, and leather split-toe mules. Their outing continued with drinks at il Buco, the downtown Manhattan restaurant often described as a romantic New York spot.
Jackson, 46, is also father to 6-year-old daughter Juno, whom he shares with ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith.
Who is Olivia Burgess
Burgess is a Fordham University graduate who has modeled on major runways, including Jean Paul Gaultier’s.
The June 7 sighting is what’s fueling the speculation for now, though neither Jackson nor Burgess has publicly confirmed a relationship. For now, the evidence is a hand-in-hand walk, some smiles, and one very closely watched afternoon in Soho.
Jackson’s recent dating life has drawn attention before. He was previously linked to Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley in 2025, after a year-long romance with Lupita Nyong’o.
His other romance news is on screen
There is also a more official love story in Jackson’s orbit, though this one comes with a script. He and Katie Holmes are reuniting on screen in the upcoming movie Happy Hours.
For longtime Dawson’s Creek viewers, the pairing carries extra weight. Jackson and Holmes played Pacey and Joey, one of the series’ defining couples, and the actors also dated in the late 1990s.
Speaking on Today on March 10, Jackson described Holmes as “a lifelong friend now.” He added, “And for us to get to go back and be able to do this again and honestly for her to create that space for us, was kind of magical.”
Jackson also praised Holmes’ work on the project, saying, “She wrote this beautiful love story in three parts. And we got to do that last summer which was so much fun.”
So yes, Jackson’s summer appears to include both real-life speculation and a carefully written screen romance. Hollywood does enjoy giving audiences options.
