Euphoria Season 3 Episode 6 arrives on HBO on Sunday, May 17, continuing a season that has already put Rue through border runs, federal pressure, and the kind of personal chaos this show treats as light cardio.
The long-awaited third season opened with a Rue-heavy premiere, following her as she transported drugs across the United States-Mexico border for Laurie and appeared to have a spiritual awakening along the way. The episode also included dedications to members of the Euphoria cast and crew who died between Seasons 2 and 3, including Angus Cloud. His character, Fez, remains alive in the series.
Episode 2 pushed Rue further into danger while bringing her closer to Jules. By Episode 5, the story had split between Rue’s deepening trouble with Alamo and Cassie’s fast-growing online career.

What happened in Episode 5?
Episode 5, titled “This Little Piggy,” saw Cassie’s OnlyFans business accelerate while Rue’s situation with Alamo became much more dangerous.
Cassie’s new venture took off after Nate’s financial troubles gave her the opening to pursue it more seriously. Following her activity in the previous episode, she gained 17,000 new subscribers, and the momentum did not slow down.
With Maddy pushing her hard, Cassie added podcast appearances and increasingly shocking OnlyFans content to the operation. The result was another 50,000 followers, along with a profile that kept expanding in every possible sense, including one scene that made the metaphor fairly literal.
Cassie also connected with TikTok star Brandon Fontaine, who encouraged her to leave Maddy’s management behind and move in with him. Nate, desperate for money, supported the idea. But the plan collapsed when Maddy secured Cassie a television audition for the role of “job applicant.”
Cassie then surprised everyone by performing a monologue from Antony and Cleopatra and landed a part on the late-night soap opera Hollywood Nights.
Where are Rue, Nate, and Maddy left before Episode 6?
Nate, meanwhile, was unraveling. He drank heavily and depended on money Cassie sent him, but it still was not enough. His debts caught up with him again, and one of Naseem’s henchmen beat and tortured him.
Rue’s storyline became even more precarious. Alamo planned retaliation against Laurie and wanted her to know he was “nobody’s monkey.” At the same time, Rue was still working with the Drug Enforcement Administration, which wanted her to help get Laurie to incriminate herself.
Alamo began to suspect Rue was hiding something. He approached her while she was catching up with Maddy in a diner, spoke to her in a threatening way, and then effectively had his men abduct her.
From there, Alamo took Maddy to the club to assess his girls. Maddy selected two of them to become part of her growing OnlyFans business.
Rue was taken by Bishop and G to a secluded location, where she was forced to dig a hole. Once she finished, they put her inside it and filled it back in, leaving only her head above ground. Rue described the punishment as “extreme,” which is accurate, if a little restrained.
The episode ended with Alamo on horseback, holding a polo mallet and riding toward Rue as he swung in her direction.
